How to choose your India trip?
India suits various durations, and the first question is always how much time you have available. A stay of 13 to 17 days allows you to explore a region in depth, for example the Delhi-Agra-Jaipur triangle extended to Udaipur, or a Kerala-Tamil Nadu combination. To truly combine two contrasting regions, North and South for example, or add a tiger safari in Rajasthan, plan for 18 days or more. Distances are long, the atmosphere changes radically between Varanasi and Cochin, it's better to give time to each leg.
Different types of trips
Our cultural circuits follow the great routes of the Mughals, sultanates and Dravidian kingdoms, from Fatehpur Sikri to Hampi passing through Madurai. Travelers seeking wide open spaces and hiking will choose our adventure itineraries in Ladakh, Spiti or Uttarakhand, with treks of 4 to 9 days and nights in homestays. For family trips, we offer programs suited to children: elephant safari at Bandhavgarh, night on a kettuvallam in Kerala, cooking class in Jaipur and Varkala beaches at the end of your stay.
What is the best season?
The dry season runs from October to March across most of the country, with pleasant temperatures (25-28°C during the day, cool nights in November-February in Rajasthan). The monsoon arrives in early June in Kerala and progresses northward until July, retreating in September. Ladakh and Spiti work in reverse: they are only accessible between June and September, when the passes are snow-free. For a first trip, November and February remain the most comfortable months, December sees peak tourism season.
