The spirit of travel
This ten-day family trip to Rajasthan is full of pleasure, adventure and Indian colour. Our objective is to make the holidays more interesting for children when we visit beautiful historic buildings and spectacular palaces including the magnificent Taj Mahal, a true embodiment of love. Our journey begins with the discovery of Delhi. The next day, we board the Express Train which takes almost 2 hours to complete the journey to Agra. The highlight of this trip is the Taj Mahal, and seeing this famous monument at sunset.
We then head to the bird sanctuary of Bharatpur, where we take a rickshaw tour, which is an ideal way to see pelicans, ducks and eagles in this region. Continuing our journey, we head to Ranthambore National Park where we spend two nights and do two safaris in the park which gives us the opportunity to spot a wild tiger. The road between Ranthambore and Jaipur passes through the rural hearts of Rajasthan while offering us beautiful landscapes to appreciate. The same day, we will have the opportunity to watch a classic Bollywood film and then spend a sightseeing day which includes Amber Fort. Taking a camel ride in the city of Pushkar (optional) is the final element of this unforgettable family adventure trip in Inde. It's a fantastic family trip that will give everyone a good introduction to Inde's culture, while having fun with the locals.

Day-by-day itinerary
Train Delhi - Agra
Today, we wake up early and are transferred to the station to board the train to Agra. It is a special train recently put into service between Delhi and Agra. It features air-conditioned coaches equipped with comfortable airplane-style seats. During this two-hour journey, we will see glimpses of Indian rural life. Upon our arrival, we are received by our representative and transferred to the hotel.
In the afternoon, visit to the Red Fort of Agra, a complex of semi-circular red sandstone forts richly decorated with double walls and monuments.
Visit to the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, a true masterpiece in white marble from the 17th century. A symbol of love, it stands on the banks of the Yamuna River. It was built by the fifth Mughal king Shah Jahan, in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died giving birth to their fourteenth child. After the visit, we return to the hotel.
Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Bharatpur
Today, we head down to Agra. On the way, we visit Fatehpur Sikri, the royal city, currently deserted, built by Mughal emperor Akbar. This impressive and well-preserved citadel served as the political capital of Akbar for 14 years. In 1585, Akbar abandoned Fatehpur Sikri due to a water shortage.
After the visit, we continue our journey to Bharatpur. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Bharatpur is famous for its Keoladeo Ghana National Park which welcomes thousands of different birds. Today, the reserve is a sanctuary for birds and motorized vehicles are prohibited. The visit is done by rickshaw or on foot. This tour offers us several opportunities to capture the most beautiful birds with our camera. After the visit, we return to the hotel.

Bharatpur - Ranthambore
After breakfast, we set off for a rickshaw ride in the sanctuary to spot a wide variety of birds and animals. More fascinating than any other bird, it is the Spotted Owlet that captures the attention of all wildlife enthusiasts.
After a delicious lunch, we are transferred to Bharatpur railway station where we board the evening express train to Ranthambore National Park. During this journey, we observe the hustle and bustle at each station. Upon arrival, we are received by our representative and driver and are quickly transferred to the hotel around 6:00 PM. The rest of the evening is free to relax and prepare for tomorrow's safari exploration.
Ranthambore National Park
Today, two safaris in the Ranthambore National Park are on the agenda! An opportunity to explore the jungle in search of the elusive tiger.
We wake up early in the morning and set off for our first safari. We track tigers and other wild animals throughout the morning and return to the hotel for breakfast. After lunch, we set off again for a second excursion into the jungle to spot other animal species and birds. At the end of this day, we will return to the hotel with some relaxation in prospect.
Ranthambore - Jaipur
In the morning, we are taken to Jaipur - popularly known as the pink city which is the colorful capital of Rajasthan. With its rich cultural heritage and colorful past, it is today one of the most important heritage cities in Inde. The city was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the sovereign of America. Also called "The City of Victory," Jaipur was the first planned city of its time with imposing forts, dazzling palaces, beautiful gardens and markets. In the late afternoon, we can opt for a Bollywood session and watch a Hindi film in one of the largest cinemas in Inde - Raj Mandir.
Discovery of Jaipur
After breakfast, we extend into the former capital of America, 11 km from Jaipur. Famous for its imposing Amber Fort, Amer was the former capital of the Kachwaha dynasty for 6 centuries. We take an elephant ride (optional), an unforgettable experience allowing us to reach the Fort located on the hill. After admiring its beauty and taking some photos, we visit the City of Jaipur, a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. We then visit Jantar Mantar, a solar observatory built in the 18th century, a true treasure for astronomy, as it measures time according to the movement of the sun with an error of only 2 seconds, thanks to solar devices that provide accurate astrological predictions.
We notably visit the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), a five-story palace with a magnificent pink sandstone façade. It was built in 1799 to allow royal ladies to watch, through the 953 jharokas (small windows), the processions and other festivities that took place on the streets.
Jaipur - Pushkar
After breakfast, we head to Pushkar - a small town located on the edge of the desert with a tranquil lake, small hills hosting temples and the World Temple of Brahma. A few kilometers before the city of Pushkar, we stop at Ajmer to visit 'Dargah' of the Sufi Saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti. After the visit we continue our journey to Pushkar. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Later, we visit the Brahma Temple and the sacred lake. It is an important pilgrimage point for Hindus as it is the only temple of Lord Brahma in Inde. Lord Brahma is known as the creator of the world according to Hindu mythology. In the evening you are free to explore the local bazaar of Pushkar.
Pushkar - Ajmer - Delhi
Free morning perfect for visiting the bazaar, temples or enjoying the hotel pool. There are optional activities including a camel ride and a chariot ride (these can be organized on request but are not included in the tour price). Afterwards, we are transferred to Ajmer train station to board the train to Delhi. Dinner is served on board. Upon arrival, we are welcomed by our representative with the driver and transferred to the hotel.
Departure from Delhi
After breakfast, we visit the fortified city of Old Delhi, with its bustling streets, buzzing with activity and still under the influence of the Mughal civilization that once ruled over the ramparts of the majestic Red Fort. We visit Jama Masjid of Delhi - the largest 17th century mosque in Inde -, Chandni Chowk - the typical Indian market always full of activity -, and Rajghat - the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi (also called the "Father of the Nation"). We visit notably New Delhi, and pass by the Presidential Palace, the Administrative Buildings and up to the impressive India Gate.
Hotel check-out and transfer to the international airport to board the return flight.

Registration is considered firm and final after payment of a deposit of 30% of the total price and acceptance of the specific terms of sale.
The balance must be paid no later than 45 days before the departure date.

Passport
To enter India, your passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry into the country and contain at least two blank pages for immigration stamps.
The document must be in good condition (no damaged, torn or altered pages).
Tourist Visa – e-Visa (Tourist eVisa)
Nationals of the European Economic Area, Switzerland and Canada must be in possession of a valid visa to enter India. There is no visa exemption for a tourist stay.
The most common solution is the Tourist eVisa, available online on the official Indian government portal. It is available for several durations:
Tourist eVisa 30 days (double entry),
Tourist eVisa 1 year (multiple entries, maximum stay of 90 days per visit),
Tourist eVisa 5 years (multiple entries, maximum stay of 90 days per visit).
The application must be submitted online at least 4 days before your arrival date and at most 120 days before. The eVisa is linked to your passport and is available only at certain designated airports and ports of entry.
Arrival and Immigration
When passing through immigration, Indian authorities may ask for:
confirmation of your eVisa (printed document or digital version),
an exit ticket from the territory (return flight or onward journey),
proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of your stay,
the address of your first accommodation in India.
Health and Vaccinations
No vaccine is officially mandatory to enter India from the EEA, Switzerland or Canada, except in the case of transit through a country at risk of yellow fever (a yellow fever vaccination certificate will then be required).
As a preventive measure, health authorities generally recommend the following vaccinations:
hepatitis A and hepatitis B,
typhoid,
tetanus-poliomyelitis,
rabies (depending on planned activities),
Japanese encephalitis (depending on regions and length of stay).
Antimalarial treatment may be recommended depending on the regions you visit and the time of year. Consult a doctor or international vaccination center before your departure.
Traveling with Children
Minors must be holders of their own valid passport and their own eVisa covering the duration of the stay.
In certain European countries, when a minor travels without one of their parents, an exit authorization from the territory may be required according to the regulations of their country of residence.
Other Nationalities
Entry conditions may vary depending on nationality. Travelers concerned should inquire with the Indian embassy or consulate in their country of residence.
